We've gotten a lot of letters and Email this past year inquiring about the song and singer featured in the "Highlander-The Series" Season IV premier episode "Homeland."The song is titled "Bonny Portmore" it is a traditional Celtic folk song, and for "Homeland" was arranged by HLTS Composer Roger Bellon.
The singer is Laura Creamer, who has also performed in the following "Highlander-The Series" episodes: "Vendetta" (season III, episode 11) singing Cole Porter's "Night And Day"; "The Blitz" (season IV, episode 12) singing the 1942 Vera Lynn classic "We'll Meet Again"; as well as in "Methos" (season III, episode 16) and "Reunion" (season IV, episode 6) performing the Roger Bellon / Harlan Collins original "Heart Come Back."
Laura, who began her singing career in Detroit at the age of ten, has also toured with Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Thomas Dolby and Bruce Hornsby, in addition to singing on their albums and those of Cher, Michael Bolton and the Black Crowes. She has appeared on, and composed songs for, many national TV shows and videos, and has recieved numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination.
