To get the most out of this Web Site

This site was assembled with, hopefully, the most likely or common of situations in mind. Some niceties were introduced, however, with the intention of bringing some level of satisfaction to those who have higher end systems.
The graphics for instance were created using Adobe's Photoshop and Specular International's Infini-D to create images that would look best on a monitor displaying 24bit color (millions of colors), but that would also look passable on 8bit color (256 colors).
The HTML page layout was created using BBEdit (with HTML extensions) to format best for people who are using a monitor setup to display 640 x 480 pixel screen size. This allows for a relatively standard 24 line Web window. But of course you will not suffer from a greater screen size. ;-)
Downloadable audio files were created using Digidesign Digital Audio Hardware (AudioMedia II and Pro Tools III) and Software by Digidesign (Sound Designer II), Steinberg/Jones (Cubase Audio VST and TimeBandit) and Passport (Alchemy 3.0). Files specs vary, but most were maximized for download time vs audio resolution. The file specs are indicated in the site where the files appear.
It is best to have some type of 16bit audio device in your system so you can download the samples that sound the best, (i.e. SoundBlaster16, Digidesign card or other) but files have been made available for those stuck in the unfortunate situation of having to play sounds through their internal speaker (most likely 8bit audio on a PC or low-end Mac system) or other less than ideal playback system.
If you are reading this from a Web browser, which hopefully you are, then your system probably has at least the minimum capabilities to get adequate use from this site. Obviously, if you are using a text only terminal or some other non-graphic access to the Web, then you should already be aware of your systems' limitations.
